Meet our Custody Navigators

Our Custody Navigators support young people aged 10–17 at the point they first enter the criminal justice system, at a key “reachable moment” when they may be most open to support and positive change. Embedded within custody suites, Custody Navigators are youth work professionals who work alongside police and youth justice teams to identify and address the underlying issues behind offending behaviour, such as trauma, bereavement, exploitation, poor mental health, and difficulties at home or school. By connecting young people with tailored support, the programme aims to reduce reoffending and help them build a more positive future.
